Governor:

Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald (D) Ed FitzGerald supports raising the minimum wage so that hard working Ohioans can earn enough to make ends meet. He stood with workers in the fight against John Kasich’s SB 5 and believes strongly in the right of workers to stick together and bargain for a better life. He will restore cuts to education and local communities and prioritize tax cuts for working families, not the wealthy and well connected.

Governor John Kasich (R)  John Kasich cut education funding by $500 million to fund tax cuts for the wealthy. This forced teachers and policemen out of work and increased local taxes. He signed SB 5 into law – an unsafe, unfair bill that stripped rights from every worker in Ohio and was repealed decisively by voters. He made access to health care nearly impossible for poor and middle-class women in Ohio.

Election Information

Election Day is Tuesday, November 4^th, 2014. Polls will be open 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Register to Vote in Ohio: the deadline to register is Monday, October 6, 2014. 

• You can submit your Voter Registration Form by mail or in person to your county Board of Elections.

Early and absentee voting in Ohio:

• Anyone registered to vote in Ohio may cast an absentee ballot or vote early by casting an absentee ballot in-person.

• You can request an absentee ballot by mail, in person, by e-mail, or by fax using the Absentee Ballot Request Form, to be printed, completed, and mailed to your county Board of Elections.

• The deadline for mailed absentee ballot requests is 12 p.m. (noon) Saturday, November 1.

• In-person absentee voting begins Tuesday, October 7, 2014 (after the close of voter registration). You can contact your county Board of Elections for voting times and locations.
